14 Amazing Digital Marketing Tools You Need to Use (Part 2)

The second half of our expertly compiled digital marketing tools list is here. It is time to finish what we started.

In 14 Amazing Marketing Tools (Part 1), our experts revealed the first half of fourteen digital marketing tools that can help your business. Now for the last seven.

Digital Marketing Tools (8 – 14)

Here we go with part two:

8. Social Media Tools

Having a strong social presence is vital for almost every company, and yours is no exception. You also need to run social media ads promoting your company. This is especially true for small businesses.

You want to create a Facebook page, a Twitter account, and a LinkedIn page at a minimum. Others, such as a YouTube channel, or an Instagram page may be necessary depending on your company field and target market.

For one of the top digital marketing tools for social media, take a look at HootSuite. It is a social media management platform with a dashboard that integrates Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and other social media sites. You can keep track of all your accounts from one place, so it saves time and energy.

9. Tools for CRM

A proper customer relationship management (CRM) is a must for most companies. The larger companies such as Salesforce, SAP, and Microsoft have a CRM of their own (Dynamics in the latter’s case).

CRM can be one of the most powerful digital marketing tools so don’t neglect it. You want a CRM that wants to be more than just a system of record, such as Freshdesk and Zoho CRM. Freshdesk offers Freshsales, which has a clean layout and email integration. You can also set up tasks and appointments and these reminders will be sent to your email. Our team reviewed the Freshsales CRM so take a look at that if you want. These CRMs are also awesome because they make email marketing easier.

10. Tools for Chat

You need to communicate with your team in an efficient manner. WhatsApp might fit this role well, but it may also lead to distractions. This is why you should try using Slack. It is made specifically for business and professional use and is one of the cleanest good digital marketing tools for in-house messaging and internal communication.

It can also integrate with other apps and is great for collaboration. Slack lets you create separate groups for projects, fields, or departments. You can then choose whom to add in what group. Apart from this, you can also message people individually. Send images, messages, videos, links, documents, and more to a group or one team member.

Slack was also one of the contenders in our article, 8 Bruising things I Learned as a Content Writer (Part II).  Slack saves you the trouble for those messages too short to email, but not small enough to where you can get out of your desk and tell the employee yourself. It also works great for sending content to other team members. You can also cut the formalities and get straight to the point.

Overall, it makes you more productive and saves time. The one downside is that you don’t receive a ‘read’ notification for messages, but this is negligible. Try using Slack for messaging within the company and emails such as Zoho Mail for external communication.

11. Tools for Time Tracking

Time can fly in the speedy world of business. This is why you need a tool for tracking time and pacing yourself. It’s never a bad decision to invest in digital marketing tools for time tracking. Time is money, after all.

Toggl is a simple web application for measuring the amount of time you spend on each task. You can view reports to manage and allocate time accordingly for all tasks. This helps you find out where you are taking too long and which parts you are rushing through. It helps keep your work perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

12. Storage Tools

Thanks to the Cloud, you can store all your data and images online for future reference. Two of the most common Cloud storage facilities and digital marketing tools in this regard are Dropbox and Google Drive.

With Google Drive, you get 15 gigabytes of free storage combined with Gmail and Google Photos. Dropbox offers 2GB of free space. You can extend the amount of storage for both by purchasing a plan.

We feel that Google Drive works best since Docs and Sheets can be a collaborated effort. You cut down time spent on reviewing and emailing others to make sure everyone is on the same page. You can give Zoho Docs a try as well if you want something else.

13. SEO Tools

Every website wants to get noticed by Google, but not many know how. This is where search engine optimization (SEO) comes in. SEO digital marketing tools are required now. The Yoast SEO plugin is one of the best on the block and offers a lot of tips for improving your website’s content. Yoast is also one of the Top 10 Plugins You Need to Install. It has great suggestions and when you fix the problems, the results show.

They may be simple things like adding keywords, rearranging your title, or fixing broken links, but they make a big difference in the end. You can also try the All In One SEO Pack, another highly popular plugin.  You can also discover 5 Cool SEO Tricks to Improve Your Web Page Ranking.  Use plugins to enhance your website and watch it soar up Google’s rankings like never before.

14. Project Management Tools

Management of the project is critical. Some would opt to go the classic route and use good old fashioned MS Excel for managing their projects. There is nothing wrong with this, but there are other services which are much more suited for tracking the progress of your project.

Trello is one of many such digital marketing tools. With Trello, you can create boards and add cards to the boards. In the case of digital marketing, the cards can be used to indicate the different campaigns your company is running and the boards can be the stages of campaigns (Upcoming, Ongoing, Finished, etc.)

You can also add images and documents to the cards. The option to add due dates and a checklist will no doubt be helpful. Plus, you can assign team members to cards. As a digital marketer, what more can you ask for? We ourselves used Trello a lot when we first started out.

If you tried Trello and want something even grander, check out Asana. That’s all we have to say about that.
